AlfaTest relinquishes SWEDAC accreditation.
AlfaTest has relinquished its SWEDAC accreditation ISO 17025.
"We have had this accreditation for several years and it served a useful purpose to improve the quality and strength of the company's management systems, work methods etc." comments AlfaTest Managing Director, Mark Denny. "The fact is though that our core customer group has no requirement for this accreditation and therefore we don't feel any need to continue with it".
AlfaTest core business is based around shipping and offshore, with some overlaps into the industrial sector. This customer base can be covered by our other accreditation such as DNVGL-CP-0484 (offshore) and UTM, ABS - NDT and UTM, RINA - NDT and UTM, Lloyds Register and Bureau Veritas - UTM, as well as IRATA for rope access.
For our Management System, AlfaTest is now in the process of becoming certified by TUV Nord for ISO 9001. TUV Nord will even keep AlfaTest under audit for ISO 17025 as a quality certainty for our customers.
